Has anyone made a scarf of Koigu?  I have 1 full skein and parts of another (maybe 1/2 skein) left over from a hat and would like to make a scarf. The one I like most so far is the Rockstar Scarf from Knitty but the idea of a scarf on size 3 needles doesn't appeal to me at all.  Does anyone have any ideas for a pattern I could use with Koigu?  I've tried searching online but haven't come up with anything great.

Thanks in advance!

If you already have (or if your library has) Last Minute Knitted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson, there's a really cute cabled purse in there with KPM. I'm dying to try it when I get the time!

I made a Rockstar scarf.  It took a long time, but it was my carry around project for a while.  I love the way the Koigu feels.  I hate the Coconut yarn I used as the black fluffy (it sheds and was a beeotch to work with).  If I were to do it again, I would use a feather and fan pattern or something.  You could use a size 5-7 and make it a little more open.  You'd get more out of your yardage too - my rockstar took every bit of 2 skeins.

You can see mine here:

You could make a lace pattern out of the Koigu with large sized needles.  That would also stretch out you yardage.

This is a link to patterns that can be made from 2 skeins of Koigu.

And here are some free lace patterns.

I hope that help!
