Well, this is the first sewing project I have ever completed, outside of sewing scrap fabric together for practice. I actually made this bag as practice since I'll be making my sister one soon for her birthday. I like the way it turned out, so I'm using it as my new spring purse. Hubby insists that it doesn't look homemade, so I'll take his word for it.  Grin

And the lining, nothing special but I was excited about successfully adding it. Please ignore the dog ears at the bottom, he likes the bag too Smiley

The pattern is Simplicity 4625, which was great even for a newbie like me.

Thanks for looking - comments and suggestions welcome!

Good day all, I am currently working on the same bag pattern, I was wondering if you could help simplify the step where you sew the bands together, I am not clear own the part where I am sewing the 8 band pieces together. My brain is not working! The pic and instructions are not clear enough for me  Huh  please any info would be greatly appreciated... I am in limbo  Undecided
