I received the best package, ever!, from frankierevolver, who has completely spoiled me!!!

She sent these awesome "Toxic Waste" knots -- 2.85oz of wool, silk noil and glitz:

They were a bit hard to photograph, so here's a close-up of all their gorgeousness:

THEN! She sent 6.1oz of "Flame Thrower" batts! These are absolutely STUNNING and there is a TON of them! They kept coming out of the box.  They're a blend of wool, silk noil, natural colored alpaca (which is the black fiber), cotton threads and glitz.  They are going to be SO fun to spin!

She also sent a ton of extras, too!  1.5ounces of pink and yellow ecospun, some lace, some beautiful blue and purple hand dyed silk, some really great fabric strips:

... and also some crochet cotton threads, 1oz of brown wool, and some lavender colored ribbon:

Thank you so much, frankierevolver, for such a beautiful package! I can't wait to play with it all. Smiley

The flame thrower batts look wild!  The resulting yarn would be spectacular!

I can't wait to see how those spin up!

I also couldn't wait to spin my stuff - I carded a bit of everything together last night, and threw in a bit of blue glitz I had, and spun the resulting batts today, with a little magenta fun fur yarn thrown in just b/c it matched the bright silk noil...  I spun it into thick/thin singles and let the turquoise thread wrap, then felted it and ran it back through the wheel to take out most of the twist - this is some seriously soft yarn!

I think it will soon become a hat, with the yo-yo's sewn on  Smiley

I got a great kit from laminathegreat! I wish you could see how truly shiny and silky these batts are, but my photography skills are not that good.

The kit includes 6x1oz VEGAN batts entitled "Memories: That Dress," made up of ecospun, soysilk, tencel, and various other things. I unrolled one for the photograph. All in soft blues and whites. Then there's mix-ins, consisting of a bunch of satiny fabric strips, white tape-style yarn, thin grey cotton, fluffy white trim, and a bunch of shimmery glass beads. There's also a faux white rose to match. I might break it up and use the petals, or I might make it into a broach for the finished item.

There was also some vegan chocolate, but I was eating it before it occured to me to photograph it. :-D It's the kind by Terra Nostra that's milk-chocolate-style, but with soymilk. Quite a find!

I really love my kit, and I can't wait to start working on it. Smiley Thanks so much laminathegreat!

yea! I'm so glad you liked it. I meant to write up the whole story behind my inspiration for your fiber and the fun I had finding vegan sources (i actually had some on hand-sweet!) and how the fabric strips came from a dress I found housecleaning which totally put me on a nostalgia trip..... but considering I'm writing THIS while keeping my two wee ones amused by spinning them in an office chair, well, there's the story in a nut shell and enjoy.

i'm so glad you like the colors!
i do want to say though... the turquoise colored one isn't the best wool ever. i was looking for just the right color at the store and the only one i could find was that "New Zealand Wool", thats all it was called. the store didn't even know what kind of sheep it was or anything, so i would suggest pre drafting it pretty well first. i spun a little bit of all the colors together to make sure they all went together and its definitely usable but just not the nicest wool i've ever used...

also that being said, i felt that since most everyone here dyed or made special batts for their partner and i couldn't (haven't ever dyed wool before and don't have hand carders yet) i decided i'd AT LEAST make you a nice box to keep all your spinning stuff in  Smiley

i got my package from dollface a few days ago but didn't have time over the weekend to take pictures...
so i think i will go do that right now!
