wow! The texture of the yellow batt is amazing. It will be interesting as a yarn, I can't wait to see it.

!!!!!! I received from Lapoli today and my box of art fiber fun rocks!! She spoiled the heck out of me with this gorgeous package!  Shocked  I'm going to try to get a better picture of everything once the sun goes down a bit today.

My kitty Franks inspecting the loot! (She's a tiny tiny manx!)

So included is tons of stuff:
- the braided roving and blue/green fiber in the bag by it are both dyed by lapoli. They are gorgeous!
-green eyelash yarn!
-blue glitz!
-crimple papers! These are awesome and I cannot wait to card these into something and spin it.. I've been considering using some paper strips for a while but never got around to really DOING it!
-different shades of blue wool top rovings!
-2 bags of mixed alpaca and wool! (They are very soft!)
-beads!
-sari silk yarn!
-metallic threads!
-icicle top!!
-mixed fiber from fraydknot.etsy.com !

So much awesome goodness!! Thank you soooooo much! I must go play with it all now! I may just sit around and touch everything for a few! hahahhahaha!

I have to say, I'm not sure I'll ever do that yellow batt again, it took me FOREVER to clean out my carder afterwards.

I've had this big "roving" of pharmaceutical grade cotton for ages and I wanted to see if it would card up at all,  what happened was that it clumped up into all those little cotton neps.  It's a neat effect, but doing it was a MESS!

I'm glad you liked everything!

I just received from LoudxMouse (and good timing - I just got my PC/camera working again  Grin)

The fiber -

one bump of a violet/blue mix, one light blue bump, and a slightly darker blue  I'm not sure why the blues came out looking grey, I think it's the light (or lack of?) this pic is closer to real-life colors.

and the add-ins

I love the flowers, they're very cute.

I haven't decided really what to spin, but maybe I'll thread the flowers on the white cotton thread and then spin a coiled yarn around that with the flowers peeking through. Or maybe something else.  Cheesy

Thanks so much LoudxMouse!!

I started spinning up some of the light pink I got from loves2experiment.  It's a very coarse wool, but very lofty.  I'm spinning it as a single, I wanted to do it long draw, but my long draw skillz are weeeeeeak Sad

Anyhow, I've got a bulky somewhat uneven single going.  I strung a bunch of the pink and white heart sequin thingies on the green embroidery thread, and I'm going to ply it together with the pink wool.

Peachymanaangel and I had incredible timing - I received her package today, too!

Different fibers - merino, alpaca, soysilk, silk noil, and angora, and adorable fabric yo-yo's - all beautifully dyed and perfectly coordinated for me to card.
And the fluffy blue in the bottom that lost it's label is:

MMMMMMmohair!
I can't wait to card it up - I've got plans already!

I'm glad you liked the batts I sent, Peachy - I was afraid the green ones were getting too crazy, so I couldn't help but spin up a tiny sample, which is what I wrapped around the one:

It reminded me of a field of flowers...
