Craftewoman, I think the markings might be easier.  I don't really have a lot of experience with sewing, so while the way the pieces fit together might be self explanatory, I just don't get it.   Embarrassed  I love the way it looks when it's done!

Let me see if I can explain how the pattern went together...the body front was two parts, a top and a bottom, with the split line across the front of the boobs (you can see the seam in the pic on the poppet thread).  When the pattern is on the paper, the bottom of the upper piece looks like a soft W, and the top of the base piece looks like a soft M.  You match them up, right sides together, and sew them, then do some darts underneath.  does that make sense?  Well, I tried to exaggerate the M & W more, to give her bigger ones...didn't work so well!

I don't know what you had in mind but I'm lovin what you have. I can tell by her pics she is a DIVA with ATTITUDE! Good luck living with her. The photos are so much fun...

As far as firming up and defining the boobs, would some needle sculpting help? Or would saline or silicone be better?

I have added markings to the Elenore pattern. It sounds like the "M" and "W" method is just the horizontal version of what I did vertically. It reminds me of the bras they made in the 50's. I have a body shaper shaped like that in the bra section. I have to remind myself that it does not look like I have cone boobs once my clothes are on over it!
I'll make mention of the markings on the Elenore pattern in the poppet along.
