no, it's not suitable as an interactive toy...it's going to be out of reach, over her changing area.
and everything is superglued for reinforcement anyway.

ha!  i had one of these in my bedroom that i made a while back--no baby required!--and i enjoyed the way it sort of drifted around so much...and then one of the little buggers speared a "visitor" in a moment of flailing.  danger!

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

did you ever see that mini van commerical with the little girl obsessed with safety?

well i was never like that girl however my 8 yr old cousin rebecca is... LOL - she is obsessed with rules, fairness, and safety!

I guess she has been rubbin off on me - i would like to think i am safe - but i think it's just that i am neurotic!

I love it! I've always thought those things were so cute, just didn't have an idea of what to do with them...now I do!

steph-better safe than sorry  Roll Eyes (bad cliche)

and thanks everyone!  glad you like.

let me say that the best use of them i've ever seen was at my very favorite craft school, penland.  one foggy morning, early in the 2 week session, i noticed a few cocktail umbrellas had sprouted near the dining hall, in a faerie ring out on the lawn!
the next morning, there were several more that had grown overnight.
each morning thereafter, the umbrellas multiplied and spread in a path across the grass, until they reached the hedge.  and then up and over the hedge they went.
there were hundreds!  it was magical Kiss
