so i've taken up crochet, gave up on the granny squares, and soon after received my copy of Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet by Ana Paula Rimoli.

and here's what i've made so far!  the fruits are about life-size, bigger than the book suggested they'd be, due to probably my yarn choice and still being a new crocheter and maybe losing count or not so great at tension, etc.  the apple has a worm to go with it in the book, i didn't make that (yet).  and the hedgehog gets ears and arms eventually.  that guy's pretty tiny...you can kind of tell in relation to the keyboard.  he's shorter than a bottle of nail polish, for reference.  anyway, tons more in there i want to make, it really is seriously cute stuff.

Great job! Great thing about amigurumi and granny squares - size doesn't matter much! Sweaters on the other hand... Love the hedgehog may have to try one myself. I actually haven't tried the amigurumi yet at all. Didn't like the crocheted faces all that much until lately. Guess they are growing on me.
