My mother would love that! How would you re-fill the bottle though?

Now that is very clever!  My plants dry out so quickly in this dry indoor atmosphere - will have to try these!  Thanks!

I'm a bit ashamed to admit this but I actually bought them at  Target. I don't like the fact that they only hold a little bit of water and clearing the dirt out of the spout is a bit of a pain. And yeah, they do look like bongs. I want to try yoursbecause they can hold abit more water....and I'm lazy....my poor plants are coming slowly back to life after being ignored for the last year or so Sad

I hadn't yet given in to the temptation to buy these yet, but I have looked at them countless times.
Thanks for the idea to make my own.  My plants will thank you also.

Looks like they actually work better than the real thing! The water is gone out of mine after about a day or two (despite the claim of up to two weeks) even after watering the plants fully right before putting them in...

Totally wish I would have seen this before I bought mine from the store.  Eh, I waited for the generic brand at family dollar.  Can't wait to try this though.  At least your bottles won't take for-ev-er to fill with water!
Thanks for sharing this.
