saturday morning the postman brought me a fluffy parcel and that was the beginning of a spinning love story:

the starter kit with a drop spindle and 200g roving (corriedale)

the first try - and not too sure about the whole thing

setting in the twist of the green yarn and starting the second skein. i'm starting to develop a serious crush on this white yarn. it's so soft and i'm getting better in drafting steadily

happy end. my first skeins of handspun yarn. i'm so happy and am looking forward to a lot more great projects with my drop spindle

and they lived happily ever after...  Grin

Great job, your spinning looks incredibly smooth! I doubt you are at happily ever after yet, my guess is you're off scouting for more fiber! You're in for a never ending love affair now, wait til you get a WHEEL! lol

Very beautiful.  I really wish I knew how to do that.  I keep looking at everyone else's and being in envy!
I like the white one a lot, but I like the shade of the green one more.

Wow!  I don't know if it's your beautiful photos or your amazing first spinning attempts or the fiber itself, but if my first spinning attempt turned out that beautiful, I would have framed it!!

if you can't be a good example then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

usually, i'd like the green more than the white. but that white... is just so... fluffy, and smooth, and lovely and mmm! you're making me want to try this--seeing someone's success on a first attempt is always tempting. also, i want to second the comments on your photography. very, very well-done.

That's amazing for your first yarn.  They are beautiful, they look so soft and smooth!
