Spring Dress, Damask knit fabric.

I bought this fabric at Hobby Lobby because it immediately made me think of some posts I had seen here. (I looked her up and her name is Vivifromage and she makes awesome stuff and this is the link to her posts,  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=75181;sa=showTopics )

Anyway, I've been working with the same basic combination of bodice + band + skirt = dress. This time I added sleeves and quilt binding at the bottom. I had picked it up at the thrift store a while back because it was shiny and 29 cents.

The sleeves are from McCall's pattern 5626.I like them on this dress, but I'm not sure if I want flowy sleeves all the time.

it looks so pretty!  I absolutely love the sleeves and the quilt binding on the bottom is a great touch.

Wow. I love dresses in this style. I keep looking at stores, but no luck. Maybe I'll get inspired to make my own after seeing this magnificent example. ^_^

Thanks for the super nice comments. It is super comfortable and was quite easy to make. I have been hiding my zippers in side seams lately and it seems to be working out
