So, while I was down in NYC, my favorite pair of pants (ones that I took the legs in, because I can't find skinny legged pants that look like it on me!) decided that it was time to wear thin and rip on me (I guess I should have seen it coming...  Six hours of nonstop walking, along with them being two years old..)
So now I don't have a good pair of pants again!
I'm interested in trying to make a pair of pants myself, but I don't know what I would be needing, or what to do.  Are there any patterns for pants that someone could recommend? Smiley

If you still have the pants in question could you cut them up the seams and use them as a pattern?

Or you could try these - http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/show/1760

I'm using them as a basic template for a pair of jeans in working on right now.

Hard to beat free (the Anita pattern shadowstealer posted), but if you don't like doing the print-and-tape-together patterns here are a few more suggestions:

Vogue 8330
Burda 7823
McCall 5392

You will probably want to use a lighter weight denim with some stretch in it to get a good fit with the skinny legs.  Good luck, and be sure to post your results!   Grin
