i was super excited and wanted to make this my first challenge so i went to the dollar store with absolutely no plan and just wandered for a good hour and a half thinking of many different projects before i decided on this one.

i've been completely inspired by this post and wanting to do something like it and never thought the dollar store challenge would be the way
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=161211.0

so i bought five packages of spoons, a collander, a package of paper clips, and a package of tea lights, $8 total.

i drilled a few extra holes in the collander and linked the paperclips and bent some of the spoons and voila!

i think it's fun.  i'm trying to figure out how to hang it from my roofless patio so the windchimes will work.

and with the candles lit

How neat! Are the candles glue-gunned onto the spoons?

I love the collander in it. Grin At first I hadn't noticed at all those were collander and spoons, I just noticed the paper clips. I guess it's their colours what brings them out.

I love it.  The collander is the most special part!

I'm looking to send my Step-Sister's Choice quilt to a new home.  If you're interested in swapping for fabric/scrapbooking supplies, send me a PM.

We're on craftster because we love to create. Why should we settle for what we currently are?
