for the first 6 weeks or so babys don't see colour. black and white is really all that they can see and bold shapes. alot of developmental toys for that age are black and whit with little bits of red

Another great combo I've seen is charcoal grey and robin's egg blue ... and you can even add some orange in there and it looks really good.  Or just the grey and orange works, too.

This is one of my favorite gender-neutral (although it was made for a boy) quilts and has a great color combo:

Oh, the gray and blue sounds nice.  I really like the idea of orange, green and brown.  Thanks for all the ideas guys!  I will post pics but it will not be for awhile.  Smiley

green with brown
