It's not like I've never made bags before - in fact I think this is my 7th.
It's just that this one I'm proud to show off!
I draughted the pattern myself at the dining table with some heavy paper & a sharp knife and a 'she'll be right' attitude. Needless to say, the flap is shorter than I aimed for, but 'meh'. I used a dome for closure - the top of the dome is conceled in the lining, as is the bottom.


Coin purse I added with some leftover fabric.

My daft label - thanks to a rubber stamp I had kicking around.
I only hope my kid sister likes it!

The fabric was on Clearance at Spotlight (stores in New Zealand & Australia but not sure if they are anywhere else). Even I'm wishing I got more of it!
I thinks it's supposed to be for curtains or upolstery.
