This is my first Craftster challenge...

My supplies (courtesy of my local Dollarama):
2 packages of scrapbook paper ($1 each)
1 package craft paper ($1)
2 pairs of chopsticks (5 pairs/$1)
1 spool of thread ($1)
1 spool of ribbon ($1)

Total: $6

My inspiration was a paper crane chandelier I saw a couple of years ago in a decorating magazine.

The pictures don't do it justice...the mobile is always subtly moving and the spinning.  This could be used as a baby mobile, or simply hanging in a room.  I have it hanging in my bedroom...

Thanks!

Oo la la, that's gorgeous! I can see what you mean about the pictures not doing it justice with the swirling and twirling but I must say i very much like that first picture of yours. Almost makes me feel like I'm sitting on the beach at sunset watching the birds fly away.....

*sigh*

I made one of these years ago, but it was really poorly made and nowhere near as awesome as this!  and paper cranes have a personal meaning to me since a play I was in a couple years ago.  so I love this.  it's beautiful, I need one of these for my room now  Smiley

This is totally awesome.  My grandma had at least two bird mobiles in her house.
