This is my first post in the clothing section, and my first ever completed wearable item, so pleeeease be kind! Haha. I loved the dress in this tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=178828.0 by shleybee and I just had to make it. I bought some purple jersey fabric on sale and figured I might as well give my first article of clothing a try on something cheap and in about an hour before going out for my last class bash, came up with this dress... I just got around to taking pictures last night and learned about the horrible trials of taking pictures of yourself.. it's terribly hard! So forgive the awful photography and my terribly messy room (I just moved back from university and haven't even started to unpack). I proudly present: my first dress!!

And, because I feel way more comfortable in it this way, some pictures with tights (I swear this dress is really versatile, it's great!)

I'd love to hear what you all think!!

Hey, I really like it alot!  Yep, maybe because I bought some jersey that exact same color and messed it up!!!  grrrrrrr.  But, you've inspired me to try and salvage the dress, because yes, I really do love that color.

Thanks all Smiley It is a great color, I own so many clothes this color, I figured I might as well save myself some money and buy a ton of purple fabric to make more Smiley

(I'm a newbie so I hope I've done this reply thing right)

It's a terrific dress and I know how you feel about self portraits - I've done some artistic ones in my art pages and they took me ages to get right.

Back to the dress, gorgeous shade of purple and it gives you gorgeous curves - so must be a great fit, as I sometimes have difficulty getting my creations to be the right fit for me  Sad )and if I get the chance, hopefully I can make one similar to yours - have to check out that link.

Noice work  Smiley
