So I hardly sew from patterns anymore, but when I saw this skirt I knew I had to make it! I have this stash of fabric that is only growing, a friend who needed some skirts, and the perfect pattern! What do you guys think?? It was totally easy to make; only took a couple of hours from start to finish. I definetly reconmend this pattern for people to try =] And now on to more pictures!

As always C&C are totally cool! =D Tell me what you think!

Lol everyone asks me that, and I would love to say that I did, but I didn't. I got it out of my fashionista mom's closet. I don't think any of my Paul Frank or Kid Pirate shirts would have looked well with the skirt =p

Very pretty!
I looove the pattern on the first one, but it's easier to see how it's constructed on the second one. Both look adorable.

How do they fit?

They fit my friend uber well!!! She's gotten a lot of complements on the skirts from her office mates =D
Thanks for your comment =]

I just bought that pattern, yours look so nice!! does the pattern run true to size? Ive noticed some patterns end up Bigger/smaller than what it says. Just wondering I just hate to ruin the fabric i bought for the skirt.

love the first skirt. I almost picked up that fabric from hancock fabrics but decided to wait until I get better with sewing. don't want to waste perfectly gorgeous fabric on something I;'ll probably mess up haha

It did run true to size for me. My friend wanted it to rest on her hips, so I took her hip measurements and traced out the size bases on that. What I always recommend is to make a muslin first =] I usually hit up my local walmart and go to the $1 per yard section. It cost a little more in the long run, but nothing is worse than cutting into really nice fabric and then the garment doesn't fit. I hoped that helped! Please ask me any questions, and I'll be glad to help =D

I love those fabrics! Especially the red/black flowers. This pattern looks like it would be a good investment for summer skirts, must go buy it!
