Peeps at the Beach

Welcome to Peeps at the Beach!

We are so ready for spring here in Colorado, that my 10 year old recreated
a beach scene with Peeps, complete with hula girl, sand, a palm tree
and the ocean for the dollar store challenge.



Costs:
Blue Poncho for the ocean 50 cents (1 from a pack of 2)
Hula Girl $1
Inflatable Palm Tree $1
Peeps (laying around the house post-Easter)
Towels, Shoe Box, Toothpicks, Craft Foam, Boat and Sand from around the house
Paper Umbrellas/Fans - borrowed from Grandma

The kid's a huge fan of Craftster, and both Craft and Make magazines (even asked
for a subscription to Makezine as a Christmas present). We are always inspired
by what others create. All credit for this goes to my son - idea, costs, and design install is all his.

That's awsome! I totally understand the inspiration for your entry. With all of the rainy overcast weather we're having I'm jonsing for Spring too. I think the best part of your entry that your 10 year old did it! A 10 year old boy that's into Craftster, Make, and Craft. Can I adopt him?

That's great!  I am a huge fan of Peeps and last year we made a Peepscape for Easter, but this year I couldn't think of a theme.  Way too late the husband thought of the little drink umbrellas.  I'm glad to see someone realize his dream, lol.  Did you know there is a yearly Peeps diorama contest sponsored I think by the Washington Post?  Your son might want to think about it for next year.
