Well, really my first anything for clothes.  I have made 2 aprons for my 3 year old daughter and this skirt.  DH just got me a sewing machine on Halloween.  I have to say, I'm proud Smiley LOL And yes, my monkey is standing on the couch Smiley  I used http://grandrevivaldesign.typepad.com/photos/ruffled_skirts_tutorial/index.html  Thanks Smiley

And I just noticed a hanging string...oops Smiley  Any opinions are welcomed Smiley

I think it's great!  I made a dress for my daughter when she was little and she still has it.  It was my only attempt!!

Looks like you did a really good job, hope you enjoyed it and make a lot more things!  The polkadot fabric is a really nice touch, looks better than another girly print in my humble opinion!

Good job!  I think it always feels good to finish a project. It's even better when it turns out as cute as this one!  You picked a great first project.  I've made this skirt too!  It's quick and cute and easy to modify for fit etc.  We had to give the first one away as it would not fit over dd's booty. I added a couple of inches to the measurements and tried again. Success! Wink

Thanks for the comments!  Mable, I had to do that too!  I made one the first time and it didn't fit. I hope I can find someone to give it to Smiley

I also did that when I tried the same skirt!  I guess it's easy to underestimate baby booty size  Cheesy

Nice job. I've got to try this skirt. I've wanted to for about a year now. Roll Eyes

It's not what you know, but what you do with what you know that is important.

or maybe the mama who made the tute has a skinny minnie!  I dunno but it is super cute and easy to make.  It is nice to know there are other little ones with "back" out there! Cheers! Kiss
