Great job!  I like the colors you picked.

I started to make this same pattern last year but didn't like the colors I chose so didn't finish it.

Hooray!

I just completed this blanket as my very first crochet project. It took me just under 2 weeks and I used 1/2 a skein each of Caron's Simply Soft with a size J hook.

Thanks to everyone who really talked out all the tough parts of this pattern - I read it all and didn't have any big problems. Smiley

everybody, thank you so much for posting help on this (especially the pictures). i am 100% a visual learner, and was feeling like a total idiot for not being able to figure out the pattern. i only have one question-

im working on the 4th round, and it isnt looking like at all like a star. its a pentagon, theres no indentation between the points. i just wanted to know if this was common, or if i am doing something wrong around where i amsupposed to be skipping 2 stitches??

It's been a while since I made one, but I do remember it took a few rounds before the points and indents came into true shape.  Sounds like you're on the right track.

Every one of these are just so gorgeous. As soon as i saw this i just had to make it. I just recently found out that one of my good friends was preggers and i wanted to give her someting that came from the heart. So i decided i should make her something. I tried everything and I failed at every attempt i made. When i laid eyes on this i knew i couldn't mess up... but lo and behold i did. So i scraped the pattern instuctions and made my own version.

Here is what i have so far.I'll post pics of it when i'm finished.
