Oh the joys of getting free stuff from work!  I now own a big box of scraps of magnet material (you know those big magnets they put on the side of trucks and stuff?  It's that sort of material, just big chunks of magnet material, no adhesive or anything on the back) and a bunch of yellow and some white vinyl (like an outdoor banner would be made of).
Now I need some ideas what to do with this stuff.  The magnets should be easy, but what sort of magnets should I make? What can I glue to the front of these chunks of magnet?
As for the vinyl, I have no idea what to do with it.  It's pretty heavy and its mostly small rolls, a foot or two wide.

sky's the limit!  i say find lots of images you love and glue away. (that's what i'm up to lately).  i haven't tested this but i'm doubting whether they can hold much more weight than paper and still hold something on the fridge.

I don't know if you sell any of your crafts, but you could use those magnets to make business card type magnets. Also, you could glue pictures onto them, then cut them into puzzles!

Nothing for the banner stuff - nope, I got nothing.

You could paint the banner however, and make a cool wall hanging...

You could use it as a homemade "Happy Birthday Bobby Joe!" banner for suprise parties...

You could cut, sew, stich and make a cool vinyl skirt?

Okay, I'm out of ideas for the banner...

As for the magnets, I would think that they're pretty strong, seeing as they stay stuck to the sides of the truck...  You could make your own magnetic poetry...  Cut words out of magazines and glue the magnets onto them (I did that for my locker on year in high school...  my friends and I played with them before and after class... hilarity ensued)...

I'm running dry on ideas at the moment (ah the effects of a trillion chapters of a Psych book...), but if I have any more, I'll post 'em here!

I had that thought last night...I just wish I had the guts to wear a white vinyl skirt!  but i was thinking that if it turned out really cool, I could always sell it!

Some sort of handbag made out of the vinyl would be rather cool...

For the magnets you could decoupage different images on them and cut them into interesting shapes... Ohhhh a magnetic puzzle would be fun! Cheesy

Great idea!

I didn't even THINK about a purse, which for me is strange because I absolutely ADORE handbags and purses and bags and totes...

I wouldn't suggest using the vinyl for a strap, though.  I think it would work and it would look cool, but in the summertime it would get all stuck to your shoulder...   just think about peeling your legs off of those vinyl covered chairs...   eugh.
