Wow, that's really a lovely looking coat! I just adore the collar on it.

I decided to use this as my pattern for my real coat.  I had to take it in in several places and just decided it would be easier to take it apart and use for the pattern rather than trying to recut the flimsy pattern paper to the altered size.  I know I want to make a winter coat in this style, but was thinking of finding some lighter weight fabric for a spring/fall coat as well.  Thanks for all the comments!

Wow! That looks so nice on you Smiley
I like how the bottom is a bit a-line.

Aww, such a pretty coat!  Which pattern did you use?
ETA:  I reread your post and saw the pattern number in the first line... Embarrassed

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

The fit is very flattering. I bet that would be nice for dressing up or wearing with jeans. That being said, I think the pattern of the fabric is a nice touch (Makes it seem more appropriate for spring imho). Are you going to use a patterned fabric on the real coat?

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.
