Just beautiful. The ziptie bones are inspired.

Did you crochet the skirt from leftover scarf as well?

Oh, no!  I knit that skirt a little while ago.  I posted it on Craftster Right Here!  The scarf was REALLY short and I used up almost the whole thing crocheting the lacing.

I like the combination of colors, the pink is just the right amount to balance the brocade and make it look interesting and unique. Good choice!

The problem with the crinkles in the waist area is not due to spacing or shaping of the panels, i think its the plastic ties, they are just not sturdy enough. Once they bent you can't get them smooth again (you can try ironing the whole thing under a cloth and with low temperature, that might help a little).

I am so impressed that you made such a beautiful garment with dollar store materials and without a pattern.  I'm also loving the pink and green.  Those will be the colors of my new spring outfit if we ever escape from winter.

I figured that had something to do with it as well.  I was planning on doubling the zip-ties on the sides, but the package had 15 instead of the 16 it was supposed to, so I couldn't do that.

This is great, when I first saw it on the front page, I couldn't believe it was for this challenge.. That's a pretty professional looking corset for under 10 bucks! Smiley

Amazing!!  I have a dress that this corset would be perfect for!  Great idea for using the zip ties!
