I made this tote for my little sister who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I thought she could take it with her to her Chemo and Radiation appt. She has the tumor in her right breast it its 16 cm. Her right breast has to be removed, she decided to have a double mastectomy in order not to worry about it. OK ladies she is only 31, breast cancer does not discreamate against age. The Dr's are confident the outcome will be good.

Anyway here is the tote. I found this great breast cancer fabric.

Wow - sorry to hear about your sis, but what a great bag and thoughtful gift to give her!  Looks great, and the meaning will be important to her, too.

OMG beautiful bag, and i'm so sorry to hear about your sister, 16 cm is huge for a tumour, my mom had breast cancer when i was in grade 6 (she had a lumpectomy, and had so many issues with her cancer and the chemo that she almost passed away 2 days before x-mas... but everything turned out alright), stay strong i know everything will turn out good, your sister is in my prayers

That is a really nice bag, and I think you are a wonderful sister for making it.  I hope your sister makes a full and speedy recovery.  It is so hard when someone you love is dealing with something so scary.  I'll keep her in my prayers.

The tote was so thoughtful.  It is always a little easier to fight through a rough patch if you have something reminding you of those that love you enough to wish they could do more.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister, that breaks my heart - she is so young!  I pray her treatment licks the cancer and she remains cancer-free till she's 100+!

That bag is great, it's well constructed and the fabric is perfect.  your sister will love it and be reminded of your love and support every time she uses it.

Tell your sister to keep positive thoughts all the time and you my dear are brave too for being a great sister for her.  I was 16 when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, she was 34. She passed away two years later. She also was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer.  That was 28 years ago.  Everything we go through makes us stronger women.   Wink

And I'm sure she is just gonna love that bag you made for her. Very well done. Thanks for sharing.
