(ok, so I can't spell...)

Initial items:

I used everything except the red cord - swapped it for another strand of silver xmas decorations.

Grand total:  $13 NZ (rounded up cause $10 US = $12.83 or something NZ)

In Progress...

Silver strands glued to the pink thing... had to cut off the hook hanger, and the pegs were just clipped on.  They found a new home on my washing line.  Cheesy

Next stage:  More silver beady things.

Resting against my coffee table.  This thing used a LOT of hot glue, but it's ok.  *everything* is hot-glued.  Even the nylon strings are crimp-beaded then hotglued over the top.

Hanging from a light fitting - it will probably be moved to my 'craft room' once I get some more energy-saver bulbs.
PS: dark hallway with flash.

Closeup of the details on the strands.  The silver ones were left basically untouched, while the clear nylon got 'sparkled'.

No flash, light turned on.
The flourecent bulb doesn't put out a lot of heat.  less than the 260'C that it takes to melt glue and the 120'C that it would take to melt the hanger.

It's just so pretty!!

Awwwwwwww!

Thats my very first, very functional $ store artwork.

Cheesy

my daughter would love this!  I love crafts like this, as we have similar stores in the UK, and I'm always wondering what to do with those bargains  Grin

Great job!

That's a really nifty idea. I'm going to have to make something similiar for my lgihts. It's a great focal point wihtout being overbearing.

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.
