That is FIERCE! And so totally Austin!!! When I read what this challenge was, I also immediately thought of Project Runway and the corn husk dress! Yay - I love it!

Wow, thanks for all your wonderful comments, especially those who said you'd wear the dress in your own wedding! I'm afraid it doesn't "pass" quite as well in real life as in pictures (alas, vinyl just doesn't move like silk shantung). But I must admit I have kind of fallen in love with the design. Maybe if I ever do get married, I'll recreate the dress on a "big budget"--like, maybe $50!

This creation is a masterpiece. I mean, some of us here are crafters. . . but then there are the people like you who look at shower curtains and cheap ribbons and see something this stunning. Seriously, I bowed to my monitor over this one. Like Wayne and Garth, "We're not worthy!"


If McGyver got together with Vera Wang to give an award. . . you would win. Hands down. If this is what you can do with ten bucks at the dollar store, my head spins with what you could do with real fabrics on a real budget.
