So I made a tetris blanket.

It measures as about 38"x38"

I just had an idea to make a cute gender neutral baby blanket and this is what I came up with.

This is the front of the blanket.

This is the back of the blanket.

I made it up as I went along and made it out of a double crochet stitch.

Tell me what you think.

Dang, you beat me to it! I'm sitting on a mountain of yarn trying to find the time with a 6 month old to make -- yes -- a tetris blanket! Definitely an awesome idea and I liked the way yours turned out.

That is freaking awesome I thought about making one but didn't think it would look nice but yours is GREAT. I could never make one as good as yours.

How funny -- I crocheted a tetris blanket too! I wish I had pictures so I could post it; maybe I'll try to get someone to photograph it for me. Mine looks completely different from yours; it's actually constructed of granny squares (each tetris shape consisting of four squares). I have one of each shape, and they're arranged randomly on a field of black granny squares.

Anyway, yours looks really pretty and fun, and more like an actual game screen than mine, given that my shapes are scattered.

I had seen some kinda like that and wanted to do it differently than any I had seen before.  You know what I ended up with.  Granny squares probably would have been easier.  I'm sick of counting stitches!

Oooo! I'm in the middle of making a tetris  blanket for my boyfriend as part of his birthday present. It's also made out of granny squares. I'm almost done all of the colours and now I'm preparing myself for oh so many black squares. I'll have to be sure to post all the pictures of it when I'm done.

This baby blanket is sooo fun! I love it!! I can't wait for my sister to get preggo so I can start crocheting baby typed things Cheesy

What you can't tell from the picture is that it's actually flashing.  It's like the last piece just fell into place and it's a SUPER tetris and all the rows are flashing and about to disappear.  It's actually quite amazing.  If only I had filmed it and not just taken a picture.  Oh well, now you'll never know.

Thank you so much for all the compliments! The saddest part is, I haven't given it to anyone yet.  I'm kinda waiting for my brother to have a baby with his wife.  Though, he was more of a Dr. Mario fan.
