alright, so i did an independent study a year ago where I made clothes out of recycled materials, and here are two of the dresses i made.
the first was a 'wedding' dress made out of tyvek envelopes from the post office, and its called mailorder bride.
its got pearl buttons, a bustle out of tulle, and a flower made of sticky labels from the post office.

the other dress is inspired by marilyn monroe's white dress worn above the vent.  you know the one i'm talkin bout. its made of a bunch of grocery bags and inside of it has bottlecaps, bus transfers, cigarette butts and other yummy trash.

let me know what you think!

Oooh, your dresses look great.  Random materials=awesomeness. I wanted to make a dress out of tyvek, but I couldn't get enough envelopes.  Instead, I made it out of shopping bags and garbage bags.  I fused mine together with an iron though.

I love the Marilyn dress, and partly because it reminds me of the "derelicte" line in zoolander! Great Job, I think it shows that you can do a lot with what most people consider disposable "trash"!
