My first adventure into Fair Isle!
The pattern is from Interweave Knits, Winter 2007, I think.
Very fun knit, though tucking in all those ends takes forever!

Those are gorgeous! I've made a few forays into fair isle, but they inevitably end up looking like crap. Yours look great, though.

beautiful, vibrant, and attention-grabbing! don't let your doggy keep hold of them too long, or trouble and unraveling could ensue... i speak from experience

Those are gorgeous! Did you use the yarn called for in the pattern, or something else? I made a pair of these a few months ago and I used the Blue Sky Alpaca, but mine looks more fuzzy than yours!

Great job!

p.s. Weren't these really fun to knit?

oh yeah, and when I made mine it was my first FI project and I read the chart backwards, from left to right instead of right to left, and so my vine pattern is backwards, lol.

The doggie only got to hold them for a minute for the picture... didn't want doggie drool all over them! Smiley

I skipped the Blue Sky Alpaca yarn in favor of Knitpicks Swish DK superwash. The person I gifted them to is a teenager and probably would have accidentally felted them into oblivion! Smiley

I LOVED the pattern... I had plenty of yarn left over so I'm making a pair for me! Perfect for those chilly nights at the computer! Wink
