Croquet sundress!

Some background info: my friends and I have a tradition of dressing up in vintage looking outfits and playing croquet on one of the quads here at school. We're scheduled to play next sunday but it looks like it might rain.    We'll keep our fingers crossed. anyway, without further ado, my croquet sundress...



I got the vintage bedsheet at a garage sale last summer for 50 cents. The material is really great, so it must have a high thread count or something. I embraced my shirring obsession and used it on the waist, neckline and sleeves.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE it!  I had a shirt sort of like this once.  The style looks so comfy!  And I love the total ensemble.  And playing croquet in vintage wear is something my friends and I totally would have done, had we all stayed at the same college.

Love it! And your croquet tradition reminds me of that Louis Sachar book "Dogs Don't Tell Jokes", in which a group of characters don funny hats to play croquet. (Please don't tell me I'm the only person who thinks that reading children's books counts as a constructive use of the afternoon...)

I love this dress so much.It just looks fun to wear. The croquet thing makes me think of the movie Heathers..... I need to watch that again soon.
