I made this for myself a couple days ago and wanted to try to hand embroider something on it but i wasnt sure what, the first thing that came into mind  was a star but i decided i wanted something more interesting

I love it! I love camo. Smiley I also tend to embroider alligators on things. Not sure if that is your style. I have a Husqvarna Rose so use that embroider gators on my clothes.

Other things I would consider if it were mine- WoW logo (yeah I am a lady that plays!), Tux, the Linux penguin, or something to do with dogs (paw prints, etc), but gators are really cool I think.

Not sure if any of that is your style though...

Good luck finding something perfect to embroider on it. Good job on the bag!

Did you make pockets on the inside?

ooh yeah, i like that idea.  I like the alligator idea but i'm not sure its my style, like you said.  i'm not really an animal person, as awful as that sounds to some i'm sure, so the letter might work great.
