Hi everyone.  This is my latest stained glass.  I got the pattern from a book.  I think it was called creative stained glass.  The example in the book used all muffle glass, but I like my selections much better.

This next picture is a close up of my soldering.  I think it's my best soldering job to date.

And finally, this is a close up of the center blue/green stem.  This picture does not do justice to how pretty this piece of glass really is.

This is still unframed.  My husband told me that he would make me a wood frame for it, so I'm waiting for him.

Gorgeous!

Can you share any tips for soldering so neatly?  I often get little puddles or clumps :-(

I concur, your soldering is amazing!!!!! The flower is beautiful, too. What is "muffle glass"?

Thank you very much!!

Muffle glass is an antique looking glass which is heavily textured and see through.  The red border in this panel is muffle glass.  I don't know if the muffle that I used is representative of all muffle glass, but this stuff splinters heavily and I counted about 14 little nicks in my fingers and hand after I was done cutting it.  Ouch!

As for soldering, it's just practice.  I've been doing this off and on for around 3 years.  I haven't taken any classes, just books and what I can learn from the internet.  I still feel like a beginner.  I have learned to be patient with it (I'm not really known for my patience).  If a spot looks messy, I let it cool a bit, then clean that area up the best I can.

Thanks again for looking!
