This would make a GREAT makeup brush holder as well.

I found some patterns online, I think 3 or 4 of them, and I sorta used a bit from each... as I wanted the safety guard on top... and I added the grommet thing for the tie to go thru... basically just figure out what size... and GO Smiley

Each pocket/guard is just a folded piece of fabric, the back is one piece, and there is a faux-lining too... layer, thats the hard part, you have to think backwards... and sew a bit here and there, channels and I did a blanket stitch around the whole thing...

Backing RS up
Bamboo pocket
Parrot Pocket
Faux lining piece

sew around, clip corner, turn right side out, iron... and I also ironed in my faux lining with heat 'n bond...

I made the bamboo pocket 2" and the parrot pocket 1"... I know my GF has bamboo needles and a few crochet hooks... so the 2" pockets hopefully are big enough for a double ended round needle thing (sorry, I don't do yarn crafts Wink)

Ooh, that is really nice, well done!

Roughly what size is it, please? I've got a silk scarf here which I've just finished embroidering and due to a few disasters along the way (and the fact that it's bright yellow, which doesn't really suit me!), I'm thinking of turning it into a crochet hook keeper. I've just inherited my MIL's entire stash of hooks, lol, so a good roll or book of some kind would be great. Thank you! Smiley

I think its about 12" tall and about that wide, not sure if it is almost square or rectangular tho... and since I've already given it, I can't measure... think it is 15" wide tho, now that i think about it... but yours can be whatever size you want Smiley
