A) How did I not know about this Vampire Ball? I should have gone instead of watching Mean Girls.
B) That is beautiful. Major kudos.

This is the 6th annual vampire masquerade ball, so i've known about it since it started. The goth community is pretty tight and are good at promoting events.

This is all so sweet.  Unbelievably awesome.

What did y'all make the "vampire detector" out of?  I so want something like that.  And do you have before pics of the gun??  What kind of paint did you use on it?

monkeystuffer  The Vampire detector was made out of dense cardboard & plastic sheets not an easy project at all, it took my boy 3 months to get it right and he is a professional sculptor. i would say extreme advanced level of crafting for it.

The Gun looks like this

you can get them at any toy store just about.

We had to dismantle it to paint it also. in order to get the ammo barrel.

Paint we used was Krylon Satin, they have some nice soft metallics, then also a touch krylon textured paint on top of that. We also put a primer on first.
We tried that paint that works on plastic and it was the textured paint. and it sucked by itself.

I think you should live each day as if it is your last. Thats why I don't have any clean laundry, because, lets face it, who wants to wash clothes on the last day of their life?
