FYI: I use something called STIFFY (from Hobby Lobby)to make hairbows that are ultra firm. I am more than sure it would well on fabric bows as well. Just do a test one first, the first time I used it my bows were so stiff they could stand up on their own .

The dress looks great!  If you are worried about the bow, you could open that part of the strap and put iron-on interfacing in, then close the seam up by hand.  It would add a little stiffness without much bulk, and you would not have to keep ironing it.
