while they are all quiet amazing, i just LOVE your favorite #2. especially imagining it long length !

i still haven't figured out my dinner dance ( prom for grown-ups) or graduation dresses.  Shocked  i'm definitely feeling the pressure

haha oh yes i know the feeling.  well for an emergency dress that takes little time and flatters all, id recommend this pattern greatly Smiley

and thanks!

The last one is absolutely gorgeous! I've made an infinity dress as well, but I can't wrap my head around how you got yours to look like that! How did you do it?

thanks! what you do is (bear with my terrible instructions!) take the right strap and cross it over your right upper arm first.  you then loop that strap UNDER your right arm and up over your shoulder (do it tight or it'll slip!) repeat on the left side, and then crisscross them in an x in the back to make sure they dont slide off your shoulders and wrap and tie.  i hope that made sense!  Cheesy

michela - it doesnt require knowing too much; at knee length, the only seam (with one - layer straps), you have only one at the waist!

daisyally - thanks!  the credit goes to all of those on the rostitchery thread who made this dress long before i did Cheesy

kathie - haha i actually did make a floor length one!  it was too tight because i overestimated the stretch, but it works very well.  walmart gave me the whole roll of fabric for $8 so i had 8 yards - way too much, but a lovely amount to work with as there was little pressure if i messed up! (which i did lol).  i just laid it out flat with two layers and had plenty of room to cut the skirt on a diagonal. Smiley

Do you remeber how much fabric you needed? I'm trying to use up my bought fabrics but I'm just not sure if 2,7 y are enough?!

hngoodlett - thank you!

lenelein - i used three yards for the straps (they are each 9 feet long) and then the circle skirt really only takes one yard.  if you want a longer skirt, i suggest getting two more.  so five, at the most Smiley
