I love stenciling using freezer paper.  I am addicted.  I admit it.

Anyway, yesterday's project was Ghandi.

After cutting out Ghandi, I ironed him on.

Then I mixed my acrylic paint and textile medium...
then slathered it onto Ghandi with a sponge brush.

Voila`...he's done.

I do think I need to add some lettering to it.
Maybe the Ghandi quote "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" or something.

Opinions?!?!?

Comments adored.  Thanks!

Nice stencil...I would almost leave it with no words, it's great looking with just the iconic image.  Smiley

I think if you added the quote but made it really small it would look nice, but it looks great the way it is too.

This is sooo good!

I'd suggest "Hate The Sin, Love the Sinner."

or maybe "I think it would be a good idea." (when someone asked him what he thought about Western Civilisation)

Or just leave it as it is!

I love that one too, and "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

If it were me, I'd leave the front as is and put the quote in kinda small print on the back maybe.

Excellent work!

I did this on a tank I picked up at the thrift store for 25 cents (can you tell I'm cheap AND green? lol) but it's about 3 sizes too big so I'm going to do some taking in before I add any wording to it.  I love the last quote suggested..."You must be the change you wish to see in the world." and think I'm going to go with that...maybe on the back.

Thanks y'all!  Cheesy
