I have a super close friend of mine who is moving to Canada this year ( Cry) and I've already decided to make him a ton of little things to take with him to remember me by Smiley

I've got lots of ideas already, but I wanted to make him some kind of jewelry which is giving me a bit of a rough time since he's a guy and I don't want it to look girly :/

I also wanted to make us something matching or with a piece of each others? Did that make sense? Like if I gave him a bracelet and then I had part of it? Like that.

And I'm also looking for other crafty things to make for him since mine seem pretty boring.
He likes video games, birds, and his iPod touch if that helps Tongue

(Oh, and first craftster post. Yay!)

if you want to make a bracelet then make a hemp bracelet with wood beads. its very masculine and it looks cool.

You could make him a belt buckle out of clay or paint an existing one to look like a bird? the best man-jewellery I can think of is a belt or a keychain... something practical.

What about a braided leather bracelet?  Leather isn't too girly.

where is he moving in canada? we have a variety of different weather/climates... if he'll be really far north, a toque/scarf set or gloves that you sew something onto would be useful... an umbrella if he is moving near vancouver, bug spray for summers back east...
if you live in a warmer climate you might want to make a "I miss home" kit too.
