Each year for my birthday, I like to make all of my friends a present.  This year, I made everyone a tentacle.  I ended up taking too long doing it, so they went out a couple of months late, but at least I got them finished.

The pattern is simple, just three pieces, and the sucker side of the tentacle is block printed from a relief I carved from sintra.
Here's the block:


Here are the prints drying, before sewing:


And here's a great swarm of them!


I also made little block printed tags that are sewn into each one, with the initials HFP on them, for Horseflesh Productions.

By being very careful and anal retentive and with a very sharp knife.

It may have been a lot of work, but I think it's worth it! I can think of about 10 other things I'd use it for...and that's just in about 30 seconds of thinking!
