I'd bet many of us have to wear IDs or badge cards at our workplaces.  Yet the little lanyards they give you to hang them on your neck are always SO dull and ugly.  Would anyone else be interested in a swap of badge leashes?  They could be woven, crocheted, beaded, or whatever, as long as they go around your neck and have a place to clip a badge on at the bottom.

I might be willing to make this my first swap as organizer, but not until March at least. I thought I'd go ahead and throw out the idea, though. Anyone else find this interesting?

I would be into that, I wear a badge too. Even better I could use it for my backstage passes for shows!

Would they have to be around-the-neck ones?  I like the clip-on ones.  But I'll follow the rules if it's warranted...

Personally, in my job I actually have to wear mine "at chest level", so I'm thinking the necklace kind. Perhaps in the questionnaire I'll put a place for you to specify a preference.  One thing, though, is that if you want to do the clippy kind, you have to actually go find the gadget to embellish, whereas you can make the neck kind out of whatever you like. So maybe I'll put that in the questionnaire too, whether you're willing to find the gadget to make that kind if necessary.

Currently I clip mine to my pants so I would love to get a clippy one too.

This is the sort of thing I have, with a clip on the back and a sort of retractable cord on a string (for badges you have to swipe through doorways)

I got this one from a craft fair -- a woman made dichroic glass cabochons and glued on.  It occurs to me that this sort of badge thingy is not as open to creative interpretation as the necklace-like kind, but then again, Craftsters are a creative lot...

I would be willing to make either or both kind.  I have access to just about any number of these type of badge holders, since I work in a med center, and we either have ones that drug reps bring or we can get them in the hospital gift shop.

That's what I have mine on too Melinda, I like it cause I hate the picture on my badge [I would go straight to jail if I scanned mine, lol, government job!] and would rather have mine clipped to my pants where no one can see it!
