i snagged a really large (we're talking 4 soccer balls could fit in it) old metal mailbox from a garage sale awhile back and stand it on end and use it to hold dog food. it works so well, i found more to use as garbage cans. they're stable, look great and the flat bottom of them goes right up against the wall, and the lids close and latch! so simple! no more dogs getting into my trash!

haven't painted any yet because they've all been nicely worn and are great shades of green and rust. i bet one  spray painted bright shiny red  would be hot though!

they're also good for garbage bins in your studio for throwing away oil rags etc.
