It's a little late, but I made this for Easter.
My mom and I gave it to her friend.
I just made a daisy cane and covered an empty eggshell.
My cane work's a little off, but it's only my second one, so I'm still rather proud of it.  Roll Eyes

I wouldn't say it was hard...
Just rather tedious.
I cut the cane and placed the pieces directly onto the egg, and after doing so, I realized I could have made a sheet and done it that way.
Trial and error, though, right? Wink
