"Click, clack, quackity-quack" is my two year old son's favorite book.  He is always reciting it to himself...in particular, he likes the page that says "Rain raining, sheep sleeping, tippity-toe, under umbrellas."  I picked up this little sleeper at a garage sale a couple weeks ago and when I was trying to think of what to put on it, I remembered the book.  Sheep sleeping seems like a cute thing to put on some pjs.
Here is the page from the book:

Here is my work:

I was originally going to put the worms on there and the words as well.  But it looks so cute now that I am afraid to mess it up!  What should I do?  Would it make more sense with the words from the page?

I think that it's adorable just the way that it is, you know what it means and so does your son.  That in and of itself makes it more than special.

That is precious. Leave it just the way it is. I never thought of using children's storybook illustrations for embroidery. I am looking for ideas for non-gender specific clothes for Squishy (my future baby). This is a great idea so I might borrow it. I love books.
