skullholders!

First tapestry crochet project...
First handmade pot-holders...
and come to think of it, first time using a skull image 
I usually refuse to knit/crochet skulls into my work because, well,
it ends up looking too... i dont know how to say
It just isn't me.
But I think the shape and the colors made it look cool!
Maybe I'll take another look at the skull...

i made tons of those, though i decided the skull kinda looked like an alien (i shouldn't have used green yarn the first time around!), so i adapted it a bit. i made so many that i started to get overwhelmed and thought "i don't even cook! what am i going to do with all these skullholders!?" so i saved them all to make a lap quilt, which will probably never happen!

Those are delightful!!  I made those too, but I absolutely adore the variegated background color!!!

Haha I used green and black for my first one too and it looked a lot like an alien as well! Funny thing is I was watching X-Files reruns when I was crocheting it!
