contact paper is really safe it put on painted walls?

i love wat you did but my friend is just about to have a baby and they cant paint walls in their apartment contact paper might just be the thing to make the babys room cute

I know you mentioned that it didn't stick too much and was easy to remove, but I was wondering about the weight of it pulling it off the wall.  Have you had any problems with peeling?
