Our nursery is finished!  We are having a baby girl any day now, and I must say I'm rather pleased with how the space-themed nursery for her came out.

Our very nice landlady painted the room green for us, and my husband and I put up space decals purchased on Etsy.

My favorite part of it is the bookshelf.  We decided that we should have pictures of our space heroes, so there's Princess Leia and Captain Picard on the top, and Starbuck from Battlestar and Alan Rickman from Galaxy Quest on the bottom.  I knitted the alien and the rocket ship.

This is actually the rocking chair that my parents used when my sister and I were babies. My parents were awesome and painted it blue so it would go with the nursery.  And then a very awesome lady in my knitting group sewed us an OUTER SPACE BLANKET.  Amazing!

Notice Crow and Tom Servo from MST3K.  My husband got them for me for a Hannukah a few years ago, and they go great in the space.  The cloth is just a scrap I found at Joann's and hemmed.

Our fantastic friend got us this painting, which is perfect.

And then the crib, which isn't particularly space-y, though a friend did get us an alien lovey which I hope the baby loves as much as I do.  I put some antennae on the sleep sheep, which I'll have to remove as soon as she can move around, but for the first little bit they'll be OK.

Thanks for looking!

This room is fantastic!  I love that quilt and all the other things you've collected for this soon-to-be-baby!!  How fun!
I remember decorating my baby's nursery - all Winnie the Pooh - that was 34 years ago!!

I like your style on this room - love the colors too.
