Hi I'm new to sewing and this is my first project. I got a free sewing machine from craigslist last week, so experimenting on it.  I made this dress from a black twin flat sheet from walmart that u get for under 3$.  Grin

The skirt part is a  circular skirt and the top part i just drew on the cloth looking at another dress. it opens in the front like a shirt dress. i'm using safety pins right now. will put buttons once i figure out how to sew button holes. I've tried a collar like thingy. Its a bit loose for me and fit is not very good.  Undecided what do u think? honest opinions and criticism r welcome.   ::)thanks for looking.

Thanks for the comments.  Smiley I added buttons from another dress and removed the collar and attached a bigger one. it looks really good now  Cool ( at least i feel so  Wink)
the collar was a trapezoid shape that i attached to the back neck and a little to the front side.
i did not use any patterns.
