I don't really know what to call this. But I like it. I took a giant grandpa sweater and took it in and cut off most of the sleeves.. the eerie part is that the new sleeves are actual part of what used to be the hugeness of the front section. They just flopped over into sleeves on their own. It's so simple to make.. a good pick me up project for when you want somthing fast and cute.

whatever that white thing in the second pic is, it's on the mirror and not the sweater.

so what do you think?

I love it! It's so cute! I would love to have that. Don't worry, all of our mirrors are smudged.

this is gorgeous, I have a friend whose jumpers are always cool and he has a cardigan like this (but obviously more of a male fit, & long-sleeved). it's a damn nice reconstruction, anyway, & looks great on you. I need to get in on the action... where's some stuff to cut up?? hahah.

Smiley well done

speak to you soon.

uhhh I took the lazy way and chopped and sewed the hell out of that baby. I'm actually really afraid it will unravel, but so far so good!

I love this! I love ugly grampy and old lady sweaters.  I usually spend a fortune on them at fancy stores in the mall, but never thought of creating my own. Great idea.

I so love frumpy nerdy sweaters ... this is great, and congrats on the bonus sleeves! Dontcha love it when something unplanned works so well?

And that white spot? If it's like my bathroom mirrors, it's probably toothpaste (I'm such a slob!).  Grin

I wore it the other day and a button popped off Sad but I was able to sew it back on with my fingers and a bit of yarn from the frays. Still lovin' it!
