Here's is my temporary (3 month) living space that I share with my boyfriend and 4 cats....

I find these dolls occasionally while thrifting/antiquing. The plastic birds were $3 from an antique store. Artwork from http://www.gigposters.com/designer/8662_Andrew_Todd.html.

The dining room set was an amazing Goodwill find, for only $175!

I found 2 of these mirrors at a thrift shop, then days later found the 3rd matching one at a different thrift shop. Weird.

I love these shelves from Ikea.

The Target rug perfectly matches the paintstroke poster advertising my friends' painting show.

Part of my mostly-thrifted owl collection.

A closer look at my hand- (well, machine-) made pillowcases. For the furry ones, I basically cut a long strip of fabric and sewed up the sides. Only 2 seams and no need to hem.

Fleamarket chair with fleabag kitty cat (I kid... I love my Goldie.)

This pad is still a work in progress... I may or may not stitch up window treatments, since we are already 1 month into a 3 month lease (plus, I'm a slacker). I also gotta come up with some focal thing to put above the couch... your suggestions are more than welcomed!

Thank you for looking! -Cate

Wow those are some amazing finds! I love red, it's in just about every room of my house in some way. I think you've done more decorating in a month then I've done in two years in my house, lol.

So you, could spend the morning walkin with me, quite amazed. As I am unwashed and somewhat slightly dazed.

ooh i love this! especially how you worked with the white walls - i don't think i've ever seen an apt with white walls that i've actually liked. very very nice.

also, is your stripey rug... curved over something? i keep staring at the pictures and it's giving me one of those magic-eye effects.

Your home is fabulous! And I find it very appealing despite the fact that I am not a fan of red. You have put everything together so well. You look like a really good thrift shopper. That dining set was quite the steal. Congratulations.

And no home would be complete without super cute kitties!  Smiley
