hey, i just recently moved to louisville and am looking for a fun job, something crafty would be great but any independent place would be cool too, the big thing is i'm really wanting someplace where i can be me, where i can wear my piercings or have my hair in a mohawk if i want, or not if i want.

anybody out there have any suggestions or any good contacts or anything??

much appreciated.

There are LOTS of local, liberal-minded shops and resteraunts in louisville ... and also lots of people who want those jobs! You can try applying up and down bardstown road, but like I said, its a very popular place to work. You could also try some of the local coffee shop chains (they're always opening up new venues, it seems) like Highland Coffee and Heine Bros, or even Java. Most local resteraunts don't care either (Vyxsin, for example, works at Ramsi's on bardstown road. I think.) And if worst comes to worst, I know Qdoba doesn't care! I have peirced, blue-haired friends who work there Smiley but it doesn't pay too well.

Me, personally, I have a nose peircing and pink-tipped hair, and I'm a camp counselor this summer at the Jewish COmmunity center!

I would definitely check out the Highlands area Smiley  You might find some places on Lexington Rd/Frankfort Ave that would work as well, but definitely hit up Bardstown Rd.
